As reported by BILD, Bayern Munich and South Korea defender Kim Min-jae is currently completing the second part of his military service, from Munich.
The 27-year-old has already completed most of his obligatory military service which only lasts 450 hours instead of 18 months, as he is a top athlete.
Kim completed three weeks service in South Korea and only has another 100 hours to serve.
As the central-defender, who joined Bayern Munich in 2023, lives far away from South Korea, Kim is able to complete the service from Munich.
Kim is currently spending 1-2 hours per week addressing schools and groups of young people in South Korea discussing, among several other topics, the discipline needed to become a top footballer.
Following his €50m move from Napoli in 2023, Kim somewhat struggled but has since established himself as a key player in Vincent Kompany’s side alongside Dayot Upamecano following the departure of Matthijs de Ligt.
Kim has played 16 games across all competitions for the Rekordmeister this season.
