Maximilian Beier believes his performance in Borussia Dortmund’s 2-1 win over RB Leipzig was a big step in the right direction.

On his 12th appearance for Borussia Dortmund, Maximilian Beier finally scored his first goal in black and yellow and later set up Serhou Guirassy’s winner in Saturday’s 2-1 win over RB Leipzig.
The 22-year-old striker, who joined the club from Hoffenheim in the summer for a reported fee of €28.5 million, reflected on his performance and the win the day after.
“I didn’t get much sleep, but it still feels very good,” said Beier in an interview posted on BVB.de.
“We gave it our all. When I looked into my teammates’ eyes after 90 minutes, I could see that nobody was really able to do anything. We gave everything yesterday to get the three points.
“I would say that yesterday’s game was a big step in the right direction. I don’t know if I’ve really settled in yet, but I’ve got my own flat here and my girlfriend is here. I feel very comfortable.”
