VfB Stuttgart have confirmed that winger Jamie Leweling will miss the coming international break with his thigh injury.

The thigh injury that forced VfB Stuttgart and German national team winger Jamie Leweling off the pitch last night will sideline the 23-year-old for several weeks. Leweling’s club confirmed the estimated downtime on Saturday afternoon following an MRI examination.
Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann will be unable call upon Leweling for the coming international break. Stuttgart must also do without their regular starter in the Champions’ League midweek and in the Bundesliga next weekend.
The loss opens the door for Leweling’s club and Nationalmannschaft colleague Chris Führich, who saw Leweling snatch his starting place out from underneath him this year. Führich – working off the bench – was by far the most active VfB actor in last night’s 0-0 draw with Leverkusen.
