The Galician manager has been at the helm of the club for just 19 league games, but will now be contacted at the club for the next three years.
The club described the move as ‘reinforcing the growth of the club’s academy’ by highlighting the importance of nurturing young talent in a post on their X account.
The 36-year-old has a 47% win rate during his seven months at the helm of Celta so far, with nine wins, three draws and seven losses on his record.
Giráldez rose into the role from the club’s reserve side following the sacking of Rafa Benítez back in March, following a career which saw him manage throughout the club’s youth system.
Alongside the manager’s contract, Giráldez’s backroom staff have received the same renewal, keeping them on the same terms as the manager.
Celta returns to action on Saturday when they host Real Madrid at Balaídos in a mammoth tie. They look to secure a win that could see them rise through the top 10.
