Harry Kane has given a brief update on the injury he suffered against Bayer Leverkusen.
It looked bad when Harry Kane limped off towards the end of Bayern Munich’s 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen after a challenge from Amine Adli.
But the England captain allayed fears of a serious injury after the game, telling t-online:
“It happened during a tackle. It was painful, but it’s not too bad. We’ll have a look at it tomorrow.”
Asked about his availability for Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Aston Villa, Kane replied:
“I assume I will be able to play.”
Earlier, Bayern’s CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, gave an update on the injury, telling AZ:
“He picked up a knock. But as the doctors said, it’s probably nothing serious. We’ll have to see tomorrow.”
Kane has had an excellent start to the season, scoring 10 goals in his first seven games.
