Stade Rennais have endured a mixed start to the campaign. Victories over Olympique Lyonnais and Montpellier HSC have sandwiched two defeats in a row to RC Strasbourg Alsace and Stade de Reims. A visit from RC Lens this afternoon appears less than ideal with Rennes still attempting to find their feet.
Despite making his debut last weekend off the bench during the 3-0 victory over Montpellier, Jota will not be available for selection for Julien Stéphan. L’Équipe reports that the summer signing is out with an injury. However, Crystal Palace loanee Naouirou Ahamada is set to make his debut for Les Rouge et Noirs after the midfielder had been training with the B team.
Christopher Wooh drops to the bench after starting against Montpellier with Stéphan instead likely opting for a back three over a back four.
Rennes likely lineup v Lens
Steve Mandanda; Alidu Seidu, Leo Skiri Østigård, Hans Hateboer; Adrien Truffert, Naouirou Ahamada, Azor Matusiwa, Lorenz Assignon; Ludovic Blas, Arnaud Kalimuendo, Albert Grønbæk. (L’Éq)
