Hugo Ekitiké has earned praise from Markus Krösche, who believes the striker has what it takes to play for France.
Eintracht Frankfurt sporting CEO Markus Krösche believes Hugo Ekitiké is in a good position to earn his first call-up to the French national team if he continues to play like he did against Hoffenheim on Saturday.
“If he continues like this, he has a great chance,” Krösche said after Eintracht Frankfurt’s 3-1 win.
Ekitiké scored and set up another goal in Eintracht’s victory, stealing the show with strike partner Omar Marmoush.
Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller praised the duo, saying their speed was “very, very difficult to defend against”.
“I would like it to continue like this,” he added.
Ekitiké joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Paris Saint-Germain in February. He has played three games for the club this season, racking up three goals and two assists.
