According to The Guardian, Chelsea are open to the prospect of selling French centre back Axel Disasi (26) before the end of the transfer window. The former Monaco defender is one of several players who could be shown the exit door at Stamford Bridge before the summer is over.
Disasi was absent for much of the Blues’ preseason preparations in the US due to a hernia. However, in the small amount that newly appointed boss Enzo Maresca has seen of the 26-year-old, he hasn’t been impressed. The Premier League currently have 6 centre backs on their books and could look to bolster their options before the end of the window if one were to leave.
A move to Newcastle?
Newcastle United are interested in a potential move for the Chelsea defender, The Guardian reports. However, the Magpies are currently prioritising a move for Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi and the Frenchman is only being considered as an alternative to the England international should a move not materialise.
