Fiorentina have ultimately rejected Juventus’ opening bid for Argentine winger Nico Gonzalez as they seek a larger fee in order to willingly relinquish the player.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Nico’s position currently remains the same, the player has submitted a request to part ways with La Viola and only wants Juventus as he wishes to take part in European football, amid a great deal of interest coming from Atalanta.
With Raffaele Palladino’s side having secured the signing of Genoa break-out star Albert Gudmundsson, the Tuscan side are now open to the sale of the stellar winger after having secured a replacement up-top.
However, Fiorentina will only offload Nico Gonzalez for an evaluation that is fair from their perspective. Hence, La Viola have refused the Bianconeri’s bid of €30m plus bonuses for the attacking trident as they want a higher transfer fee for arguably their most valuable asset.
