Serie A giants Roma seem rather set to land another key signing this summer and that player in question is Al Hilal full-back Saud Abdulhamid.
Roma wanted to sign a right-back to shore up that side of the pitch and hadn’t done that despite having had a rather impressive transfer window so far in the attacking department.
Gianluca di Marzio has revealed that they will now sign a new right-back and that is Abdulhamid. The move is stated to be ‘very close’ and the Giallorossi are now ready to close their move for the 25-year-old.
Aston Villa were also linked with the Saudi Arabian defender in recent weeks and they seem set to miss out. This could be the very first big move that sees a player in Saudi Arabia move to Europe instead of the other way around, with Abdulhamid being a regular part of the Al Hilal side in recent seasons.
