According to kicker, Bayern Munich have decided they will not sign Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah.
Over the course of the summer, there has been one transfer saga with seemingly no end in sight.
The transfer in question: Jonathan Tah to Bayern Munich.
At one stage, the move seemed certain, with personal terms between Der Rekordmeister and the German international agreed.
However, with Bayern refusing to meet Leverkusen’s asking price, the deal was once again in jeopardy.
With the transfer changing course at every possible stage, coming to a natural conclusion seemed a lifetime away; regardless, Bayern have finally provided one.
As previously reported, the record champions were set a deadline by Die Werkself in order to get the move for Tah over the line.
Nevertheless, with the sale of Matthijs de Ligt to Manchester United a necessity for the transfer to be financially possible for Bayern, there was a sense within the Bayern camp that signing Tah would be difficult to achieve with all the conditions combined.
Despite this, it is believed that even if de Ligt was to be sold, meaning they could meet the deadline, the Bavarian giants would still refuse to complete a deal with the Bundesliga champions.
Therefore, Uli Hoeneß has made the decision, which has been accepted by the management at Bayern, that Tah will not join the club this summer.
