According to Florian Plettenberg, Piero Hincapie could be set to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
It is understood that the Ecuadorian international is hopeful of receiving more game time next season, whether this be with Die Werkself or elsewhere.
Hincapie is said to be ready for a new challenge and is willing to leave the BayArena this summer in order to further his career.
As it stands, there are a number of clubs showing interest in the 22-year-old, with Leverkusen currently in talks to offload the defender.
However, as of yet, there have been no agreements made to sell Hincapie.
Previously, there has been considerable interest in the defender from the Premier League, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur being the most notable sides to have shown appreciation towards the South American.
Nevertheless, if Hincapie is to leave Leverkusen this summer, as it stands, his destination is unknown, but with his contract valid with the German champions until 2027, it is expected that Die Werkself would be able to generate a lucrative fee for his services.
