West Ham United are pushing to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Niclas Füllkrug (31).
According to Sky Sports, the Premier League side have opened talks with Dortmund with the conditions of the deal being discussed, and it’s also suggested that personal terms shouldn’t be an issue.
Füllkrug finished as Borussia Dortmund’s top scorer last season with 15 goals and 10 assists in 43 games across all competitions, while also playing a significant role in BVB’s Champions League campaign with a goal in the quarter-final and semi-final against Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, before the Bundesliga side lost 2-0 in the final at Wembley against Real Madrid.
Borussia Dortmund’s attacking options
With the arrival of Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart, Borussia Dortmund have four attacking options alongside the Guinean forward: Füllkrug, Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko. With four strikers fighting for one spot in Nuri Sahin’s side, it’s no secret that Dortmund would be willing to allow one of last season’s three attackers to leave.
One of those could be Moukoko, who is the highest paid striker at the club. As reported last week, Moukoko’s agent confirmed that the striker will look to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.
