Houssem Aouar has signed his new contract to become an Al-Ittihad player and complete his transfer from Roma. The former Lyon midfielder is the latest of many players to make the switch to Saudi Arabia.
The fee received by the Italian club is in the region of €12m. Aouar joined Roma on a free transfer from Lyon meaning any transfer fee will be complete profit. The Roma midfielder’s transfer has not perhaps as been as successful as he would have hoped. The 26-year-old has made 25 appearances during his one season at the Serie A club.
Diaby on the radar
Al-Ittihad are also targeting an ambitious move for Aston Villa’s Moussa Diaby (25). The Saudi Arabian club have launched a bid worth €55m for the France international attacker, according to L’Équipe and Foot Mercato. The 25-year-old could be set to join the Algerian international in making the switch this summer.
