Ermedin Demirovic’s move from Augsburg to Stuttgart appears to be moving closer, with Sky Germany reporting that a deal could be agreed before the end of the week.
VfB Stuttgart have been in talks to sign Augsburg’s Ermedin Demirovic for some time, but the two clubs have yet to come to an agreement.
However, this could soon change as Sky Germany reports that a deal is close and could be completed before the end of the week.
Augsburg reportedly recently rejected a second offer of €19.5 million for Demirovic, with the club demanding a fee closer to €23 million for their captain.
Demirovic himself is said to have reached an agreement in principle with Stuttgart and is keen to make the move.
Stuttgart are in the process of selling star striker Serhou Guirassy to Borussia Dortmund, but the Guinea international has failed his medical, throwing the deal into doubt. However, this is not thought to change the club’s desire to sign Demirovic.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international scored 15 goals and laid on 10 assists for Augsburg in the Bundesliga last season.
