Austria’s “Kronen-Zeitung” reports that RB Leipzig are preparing to loan German keeper Janis Blaswich out to their sister RB club.
Having forfeited his starting slot between the sticks for German Champions’ League representatives RB Leipzig following captain Peter Gulacsi’s return from injury, 33-year-old German keeper Janis Blaswich is on the hunt for more playing time. Austria’s “Kronen-Zeitung” reports that Leipzig have acceded to the net-minder’s transfer request and will loan him out to sister club RB Salzburg for the coming season.
Blaswich’s playing prospects for next year are further diminished by the imminent arrival of Martin Vandevoordt, who is due in the Saxon capital this summer. The Belgian youth international is expected to assume the back-up role. Gulacsi himself has just signed a contract extension. Blaswich made his Bundesliga debut for Leipzig in 2022 and has since made 64 appearances for the German Red Bulls.
