Jamal Musiala said Germany “couldn’t have had a better start” to Euro 2024 after their 5-1 win over Scotland.
Germany opened Euro 2024 with a convincing 5-1 win over Scotland, with Jamal Musiala one of the star performers and named UEFA Player of the Match.
Speaking in an interview after the game, the 21-year-old Bayern Munich star was keen to emphasise just how good a start to the tournament the win represented.
“We know how important it is to start the tournament well. If we give it our all, we’ll have fun and score goals,” Musiala said, adding:
“If we’re all in a good mood, everything will be easier for us. We couldn’t have had a better start. We want to improve from game to game.”
Musiala scored his third goal in a Germany shirt to make it 2-0. He has featured a total of 30 times for the national team.
