Germany’s preeminent footballing publication reports that Bundesliga champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen have two specific targets in mind as part of their summer plans to potentially restock in attack.
Once linked with Dortmund, French attacking midfield talent Désiré Doué has apparently found his way onto the radar of German champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Germany’s Kicker Magazine reports that the 19-year-old French youth international is one of Leverkusen’s top targets this summer. The teenage talent – who can play as a ten or out on the wings – maintains an estimated market worth of €30 million in the latest transfermarkt update.
Kicker further notes that another young versatile attacker is on the shortlist of Germany’s red company team. Argentine youth international Matías Soulé of Juventus has seen his estimated market worth triple to €25 million this season following a successful loan stint with relegated Serie A side Frosinone Calcio. The 21-year-old has experience as a right-winger, ten, and service striker.
The Bayer scouts are, obviously enough, focused on the possibility of replacing German phenom Florian Wirtz should the mega-talent opt to move to a different club during the offseason. Leverkusen have also been linked with Mainz talent Brajan Gruda and Bilal El Khannouss of KRC Genk. Wirtz, should he force a sale, could net the champs upwards of €130-150 million.
