Leverkusen negotiations for Garcia “in final stage”

Sky Germany reports that Bayer Leverkusen’s negotiations to sign Aleix Garcia from Girona are “in the final stage”.

Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly poised to complete the signing of Aleix Garcia from Girona.

According to Sky Germany, the German champions are expected to finalize the deal soon, with the two clubs discussing a €15-20 million transfer fee.

The Spanish midfielder is understood to have a verbal agreement with Leverkusen on a contract until 2029.

Garcia is the captain of Girona, who are coming off a sensational season in which they finished third in the Spanish La Liga.

The 26-year-old defensive midfielder featured 33 times in the league for the club through the campaign, racking up three goals and six assists.
