Jonathan David (24) was the second top goal scorer in Ligue 1 this season after Kylian Mbappé (25) and like the Frenchman, he could also be on the move to the Spanish capital this summer.
According to La Voix du Nord, Atlético de Madrid have approached Jonathan David (24) and his agent about a transfer this summer, with the Spanish club keen to strengthen their forward line ahead of the next campaign.
Atlético are confident that they will be able to strike a deal with Lille OSC for the striker as next month David will be entering the final year of his contract. A situation that provides some impetus for Les Dogues to make a deal while they still can.
A swap deal for Jonathan David?
The Atlético leaders have not yet made contact with Lille but are thought to be considering including Reinildo Mandava (30) in their negotiations. The full-back has struggled for game time in Madrid and would not be against a return to a club where he had happier times.
