FC Schalke 04 have sent Can Bozdogan out on loan to FC Utrecht.

The loan deal for the 21-year-old includes an option to buy.

“There is a lot of competition in the squad in his position, so it would have been difficult for Can to get playing time this season,”commented Schalke sporting director Rouven Schröder.

“We communicated this openly and transparently with him right from the start. That’s why the move to FC Utrecht makes sense for both. Can has the chance to get more playing time and we are able to reduce our squad in this position. We wish can all the best in Utrecht.”
