West Ham have definitely identified Chelsea striker Armando Broja as a target, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.
The 20-year-old has been linked with several Premier League clubs, including the east London outfit.
What is the latest news involving Broja?
According to Italian outlet TUTTOmercatoWEB, Chelsea are planning to keep hold of Broja following his loan spell at Southampton.
Prior, Thomas Tuchel confirmed that the forward would return for pre-season, so it does seem like the Blues are open to having him in their squad for the forthcoming campaign.
However, Broja remaining at Stamford Bridge is probably far from a certainty amid all of the interest he is attracting.
Last month, GOAL reported that Southampton, West Ham, Newcastle United, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli were all eyeing the Albanian.

What has Crook said about Broja and West Ham?
Crook has told GIVEMESPORT that West Ham are indeed interested in signing Broja this summer, while Watford’s Emmanuel Dennis could also be an option for the Hammers.
Speaking to GMS, the talkSPORT reporter said: “They want to strengthen up front. Interestingly, Emmanuel Dennis and Armando Broja, who had a good first half of the season but tailed off, I think Saints maybe backed off a little bit in terms of trying to get him back on loan.
“I think he’s a definite target, and obviously we know they want at least one centre-back as well.”
Who should West Ham sign, Broja or Dennis?
Broja, who scored six goals in 32 league appearances in the 2021/22 campaign, certainly is a talented player.
On the Albania international after a 4-1 win against Brentford at the start of the year, Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl said (via BBC Sport): “He’s a great threat. He didn’t have many poor games this season so today he showed again how dangerous he can be for the opponent and he’s very helpful for our game.”
However, with Chelsea seemingly reluctant to sell Broja, who is valued at £34m by the CIES Football Observatory, he is probably not going to be cheap.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Watford could be willing to listen to offers of around £20m for Dennis, who outscored Broja in the season that has just gone after registering 10 times.
When you consider all of that, David Moyes going after the Nigerian instead makes a lot of sense. With the transfer window only just opening, though, there are a lot of unknowns.
One thing that is clear, however, is West Ham’s need for a striker, so be it Broja, Dennis or someone else, you would expect a new No.9 to arrive at the London Stadium this summer.
