A 2nd club from the Premier League have joined the hunt to secure the signature of Barcelona star Gerard Martín this summer.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Bournemouth as the outfit in question.
The name of defender Martín has of course taken its place front and centre in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona over recent days.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the 23-year-old had been identified as a leading summer target on the part of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The board at Molineux are on the lookout for a replacement for the departed Rayan Aït-Nouri, with Martín considered the perfect profile.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Wolves are not the only English club interested…
As per Sport, with Milos Kerkez expected to join Liverpool any day now, Bournemouth are also sniffing around Martín’s signature.
Barcelona, for their part, are not actively pushing the La Masia graduate towards the exit door, but are willing to negotiate a sale in the case of an offer in excess of €12 million arriving on the club’s desks.
