As reported by Sky Germany, Younes Ebnoutalib is proving to be the standout player in the 2. Bundesliga this season and is now attracting attention from several clubs within Germany as well as other top leagues abroad.
Ebnoutalib has scored 9 goals in 12 games in the second division this season for SV Elversberg, who themselves are chasing down a place in the Bundesliga, having missed out via the promotion/relegation play-offs last season.
Whilst the club has promotion aspirations, it appears that Ebnoutalib also has ambitions to play at a higher level.
Elversberg are aware of the interest surrounding their top striker, who is currently contracted until 2028. However, SVE wishes to extend Ebnoutalib’s current deal, something the player himself is not interested in right now.
Interest in Ebnoutalib
It’s reported that a number of clubs around Germany are keeping tabs on Ebnoutalib, in particular Werder Bremen.
Elsewhere, clubs in Serie A such as Bologna, are also monitoring the player and could make a bid this summer.
Should Ebnoutalib continue to score at the pace he is, don’t be surprised to see more and more clubs named as potential suitors this coming summer.
The 22-year-old striker currently has a transfer market value of €1.5m, as per TransferMarkt.
Should he leave at the end of the season, you can expect a transfer fee much greater than his current value.
