An insight into a head-turning exchange between Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, and winger Matteo Politano, has come to the fore online.
As much, of course, comes ahead of Napoli’s impending showdown with La Liga giants Barcelona.
The Partenopei will put their European campaign on the line on Tuesday night, when they make the trip to Montjuïc for the 2nd leg of the club’s Champions League Last-16 tie with Xavi’s Barca.
In turn, on Monday evening, Francesco Calzona’s squad flew out to Catalunya, before immediately making their way to the venue of the fast-approaching clash.
As Napoli’s players and staff alike made their way around the pitch at Montjuïc, however, the tension in the camp soon became clear.
This was evidenced upon the aforementioned Aurelio De Laurentiis putting an abrupt stop to an interview being held by a key member of Calzona’s ranks.
Whilst speaking to a Sky Italia reporter, Matteo Politano was angrily cut off by Napoli’s president, who was heard shouting:
“What the hell are you doing?”
As revealed by Mundo Deportivo, De Laurentiis was also spotted pushing a cameraman, the Italian patron doing little to hide his long-standing issues with the media presence in his home country.
