According to journalist Toni Juanmartí of Relevo, West Ham are in talks over a deal for Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma.
The fee could be in the region of €45 million for the Dutch international. West Ham are hoping to agree to a fee of €36 million plus variables. Danjuma’s release clause is €54 million.
Villarreal are interested in signing Almería player Umar Sadiq as a replacement for Danjuma but for the Nigerian to arrive the Yellow Submarine have to sell and the player reportedly wants to leave after the club failed to qualify for Champions League football next season.
After finishing seventh in the last Premier League, West Ham’s board of directors are keen to add important signings for next season.
The 25-year-old attacker was Villarreal’s top scorer last season and has earned the interest of clubs such as PSG and Liverpool.
Villarreal recently completed the signing of experienced forward José Luis Morales. The former Levante captain joins on a deal until 2024.
