Tottenham & Roma expressing interest in Real Madrid star

A pair of leading European clubs are expressing a keen interest in the signature of a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who point towards Brahim Díaz as the player in question.

Brahim, for his part, is fresh off a superb individual campaign.

Brought back to base in Madrid after honing his talents in Italy with AC Milan, the 24-year-old carved out a prominent role for himself in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

Across 44 in all competitions, Brahim racked up 12 goals and nine assists, proving himself an important figure in Los Blancos’ domestic and continental double.

And yet, despite as much, the Moroccan international is still not considered first-choice.

When all of his options are fully fit and firing, Carlo Ancelotti tends to opt for the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinícius Jr. in attacking areas.

Not only that, but with Arda Güler primed to explode, and Kylian Mbappé on his way, Brahim could yet find himself knocked further down the pecking order next season.

As a result, it should come as little surprise to hear of clubs from across the continent beginning to express an interest in his services.

As per the aforementioned Foot Mercato, both Tottenham Hotspur and AS Roma have already begun seeking information regarding a potential summer deal for Brahim.

The response, however, has been unwavering from club and player alike:

‘Real Madrid has been very clear on this subject: it has absolutely no intention of parting ways with Brahim Diaz this summer. Same story with the player who feels very good in Madrid and who wants to continue wearing the Madrid jersey next season.’
