Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a move to sign West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus, according to The Telegraph.
Spurs were previously linked with a move for Bryan Mbeumo, but the Cameroonian made it clear that he has his heart set on joining Manchester United if he is to leave Brentford.
Consequently, Kudus has now emerged as a primary target for Spurs as new head coach Thomas Frank seeks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Tottenham have yet to make a formal offer but are optimistic they can secure Kudus for a fee well below his £85 million release clause, which is only active for the first 10 days of July.
Off the back of an encouraging debut season, Kudus endured a relatively underwhelming campaign last time out, managing just five goals and four assists across all competitions.
Nonetheless, the Ghana international remains highly rated, with Spurs facing competition from Chelsea for his signature.
However, it remains to be seen how much of an interest the Blues still have in Kudus after their recent acquisition of Joao Pedro.
Kudus’ arrival would help Spurs rotate more effectively across domestic and European competitions as they prepare to return to the Champions League.
His pace, dribbling, and creativity would offer Spurs a dynamic option behind the striker or on either flank.
Kudus’ versatility would also give Frank some tactical flexibility at the top end of the pitch.
The 24-year-old’s near-perfect fitness record further enhances his appeal to Spurs, who were ravaged by several injury casualties last season.
