An insight into the structure of the contract on offer to Hansi Flick at La Liga giants Barcelona has today been forthcoming online.
The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and points towards the Barca brass playing it safe when it comes to any kind of long-term commitment.
Flick, of course, has emerged as the clear favourite to replace Xavi on the bench in Catalunya’s capital over recent days.
Discussions between the parties are now in full swing, over a deal which would see the German take up the reins starting in the summer.
Flick’s terms, at least to begin with, though, look set to be short-term.
As per the aforementioned MD, to start, the former Bayern Munich headmaster will be tied down only through the summer of 2025.
From here, there will be the option for the parties to extend their relationship for a further 12 months, dependent upon the success of the season to come.
An official announcement regarding Flick’s appointment at Barcelona could be forthcoming as soon as next week.
