RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Ishé Samuels-Smith (19) only arrived at the club earlier this summer, however, he is already on his way out of the club, according to a report from BBC Sport.
The England youth international joined the club from fellow BlueCo-owned club Chelsea earlier in the window for a fee of €6.5m. However, he is yet to make his debut for Le Racing, and he may not make it this season.
Samuels-Smith out, Chilwell in?
Instead, the left-back looks set to join EFL Championship side Swansea City on a season-long loan deal. It comes just one month after joining Strasbourg.
Samuels-Smith’s departure would open a non-EU space in the Strasbourg squad. And it could be swiftly filled. Chelsea have been desperate to offload Ben Chilwell all summer, but have so far failed to do so. The connection between Strasbourg and Chelsea could be used to send the England international to the Meinau. With three Chelsea players already on loan at Strasbourg, it would have to be a permanent deal.
