The powers that be at La Liga outfit Sevilla are working tirelessly to add to the squad set to be at the disposal of new manager García Pimienta for next season.
That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Nervión.
Sevilla’s chief area of focus, as things stand, appears to be in the middle of the park.
The Andalusian outfit are pushing for the signings of two new midfielders, namely Sambi Lokonga of Arsenal, and out-of-favour Atlético Madrid man Saúl Ñíguez.
In terms of the former, any deal would be expected to come in the form of an initial loan, featuring an option, or potentially even an obligation to buy.
For Saúl, meanwhile, Sevilla are hopeful of an agreement being reached between the Spaniard and Atlético, over a mutual parting of ways over the weeks ahead.
Lastly, turning attentions towards García Pimienta’s attacking options, the brass at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán have set their sights on Racing Santander talent Gerard “Peque” Fernández.
The Nervionenses consider the 21-year-old a potential star in the making, therefore working to open up space in the club’s frontline, to incorporate Peque at the earliest opportunity.
