Sevilla are on the verge of completing the signing of midfielder Jeff Reine-Adélaïde from Ligue 1 club Lyon as they look to climb back up the La Liga table, report Relevo.
Lyon and Sevilla have reached an agreement for the loan move, according to journalist Loïc Tanzi, and the player is set to undergo his medical on Tuesday morning.
After the signing of Loïc Badé and the return of Lucas Ocampos from Ajax to the Andalusian side, Reine-Adélaïde will be the next player to arrive, once he passes his medical with the Spanish club.
As also reported by outlet El Desmarque, Reine-Adélaïde will arrive on loan with an option to buy for around €12m, with sporting director Monchi aiming to strengthen the squad this month. Lyon paid €25m for his transfer from Angers in 2029.
Relevo understand that the option to buy is not compulsory and it is a similar operation to that of Badé. The 25-year-old’s contract at Lyon expires on 30 June 2024.
