A headline member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is attracting mounting interest ahead of the summer.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.
Danish international Christensen has of course enjoyed a fine season to date, proving himself an invaluable member of boss Xavi’s squad.
As much comes with the former Chelsea man having adapted to a new role in hugely impressive fashion, slotting into the pivot role at the base of midfield with little fuss.
And his endeavours, it would appear, have not gone at all unnoticed across the continent…
In fact, as per the aforementioned MD, ‘several top clubs’ have already made contact with the Barcelona brass, regarding a potential summer deal for Christensen.
The player himself remains comfortable in Catalunya’s capital, and is likely to be afforded the final say on his future.
Only in the event of a big-money offer arriving for his services, will Deco and the Blaugrana transfer team therefore give any real consideration to a sale.
