Tim Skarke has joined Schalke 04 on loan from Union Berlin.
FC Schalke 04 have sealed the signing of 26-year-old winger Tim Skarke from Union Berlin on loan until the end of the season.
“We’ve worked very hard to sign Tim over the past few weeks, he’s our ideal winger,” commented Schalke board member for sport Peter Knäbel.
“A door opened again over the last 48 hours and I’m pleased that we were able to take advantage of this opportunity to bring him here. We’ve followed Tim’s progress for a long time and believe he will help the team with his athleticism and runs in behind.”
Skarke, who has been limited to just six appearances for Union this season, said:
“The conversations I had with the coach and club bosses helped reaffirm that this move to Schalke 04 is the right one for me. I can’t wait to put the teams above us under pressure and to ultimately try and avoid relegation with the team.”
