Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo currently prefers a move to Milan over a switch to Tottenham, who remain interested.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported that Milan are increasingly interested in Zaniolo, after reports stated that the Rossoneri have made contacts with the agents of the player.
Pedulla states that while Tottenham remain interested, Zaniolo’s priority is Milan. It is reported that Milan are now willing to pay an expensive loan (€3 million-€4 million) with an obligation linked to qualification for the Champions League. There will be bonuses to make sure that the fee goes upto about €25 million in total – something that Roma have asked for.
Milan had initially planned to move for Zaniolo in the summer but they want to bring the move forward – close to how Liverpool had brought forward their move for Luis Diaz when Tottenham were trying to sign him in the January of 2022.
The ball is now in Roma’s court and they have to make a decision about whether they will accept what Milan are offering or not. Stefano Pioli has already given his approval for a move and Roma are now considering whether they want to accept the offer or not.
