Center-back Sepp van den Berg looks to have suffered a major ankle injury against Augsburg on Matchday 8. Sporting Director Rouven Schröder told DAZN after the game that he heard “something of a break.”

Schalke have still not reported the final diagnosis, but van den Berg is expected to be out for the foreseeable future. The 20-year-old impressed in four starts with the club and is set to move back to Liverpool after the season.
