The Bundesliga have announced that Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane is the winner of the Player of the Month award for October.
The England captain beat the likes of Tim Kleindiesnt, Willi Orban, Ritsu Doan, Vincenzo Grifo and Tom Rothe to the award. The selection was based on performances on matchdays six, seven, and eight. Via @iMiaSanMia, this is the first time a Bayern player has won the award since November 2022 when Serge Gnabry won.
During the selection period, Kane finished with four-goal contributions after a hat-trick against VfB Stuttgart in a 4-0 win as well as a goal against Bochum.
In comparison, Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Tim Kleindienst was the closest in contributions to the Englishman as the striker also finished with four goals after scoring against Augsburg, Mainz and a brace versus former club Heidenheim.
Kane is currently the joint leader of the goalscoring charts in the Bundesliga with 11 goals with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush. However, the 31-year-old is technically second in the table due to him having scored more penalties.
Last month’s winner was Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush.
