Spain under-21 head coach Santi Denia believes the academies in Spain are the best in the world.
“We are delighted with the youngsters who move up from their respective national teams, he said in quotes picked up by Spanish outlet Relevo.
“Whether it’s Assane or Lamine Yamal… we like them to take steps at their clubs, to perform in European competitions. The coaching in Spanish youth academies is brilliant, the best in the world. The players are very well coached,” said Denia.
“We would like to have Gabri Veiga in La Liga. We are very much in contact with him, the follow-up is being done by video”, he added when asked about the former Celta Vigo player.
