Sadio Mané missing for several months

As per a report by Sport1, Sadio Mané will be missing for several months having undergone surgery on his right fibula in Innsbruck, Switzerland.

In a statement released by the Rekordmeister on Thursday night, they said that Prof Christian Fink and Dr Andy Williams from London conducted an operation and that it had been a success.

The African Footballer of the Year will begin his rehabilitation in Munich in the next couple of days.

It was already reported that the 30-year-old Senegalese would miss the World Cup this winter but not many knew how severe the injury could be. For Bayern Munich fans, this is damming news. As per the report, it’s believed that Mané will be missing anywhere between three to four months. The forward will miss Bayern’s Champions League round of 16 match against Paris Saint-Germain in February but may get the all-clear for the second leg on March 8th.

Since his move from Liverpool for an initial €32m, Mané has scored 11 and created four in 23 games across all competitions for Bayern Munich.
