Roy Keane ‘Not Convinced’ by Signing Tottenham Made This Summer

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has admitted he’s ‘not convinced’ that Mohammed Kudus will be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur, speaking on Sky Sports.

It was an interesting summer transfer window for Spurs, bringing in Randal Kolo Muani, Kudus, Xavi Simons, and Joao Palhinha to improve Thomas Frank’s squad. The north London outfit are looking to compete domestically, as well as in the Champions League, so they’ll need a squad capable of battling on multiple fronts.

Tottenham have undoubtedly improved the quality and depth throughout Frank’s squad, but it remains to be seen whether it will be enough to improve on last season. Spurs won their opening two Premier League games this season, but they suffered a disappointing home defeat against Bournemouth last time out.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane admitted that he’s ‘not convinced’ that Kudus will be a hit at Tottenham in the 2025/2026 season after signing from West Ham United earlier in the summer transfer window.

“Not convinced, I have to say. Not convinced. But, it’d be nice if he surprised me.”

Kudus started impressively for Spurs this season, providing two assists in a 3-0 victory over Burnley on the opening day of the campaign. Tottenham supporters will have been salivating at the prospect of a creative threat in the final third making an instant impact, but he’s struggled to hit the same heights since then.

Against Man City and Bournemouth, Kudus failed to contribute towards a goal, but it’s certainly too early to judge the former West Ham attacker.
