Roma’s Curva Sud unveil banner criticising Nicolo Zaniolo

Roma’s Curva Sud has released a banner slamming Nicolo Zaniolo for his behaviour in recent days.

The Italian chose to not be selected for the club’s previous Serie A game against Spezia as he was seeking an exit. Tottenham could not meet Roma’s asking price and neither could Milan, who have pulled out of the race for the player. Bournemouth did agree a fee with Roma but Zaniolo rejected the Giallorossi.

With Roma furious with Zaniolo and willing to take disciplinary measures, it seems as if the club’s fans have also turned against the former Inter youngster.

Curva Sud unveiled a banner near the Colosseum, slamming the Italian and his behaviour. The banner said: “Zaniolo, traitor and sh** without honour.”

It now seems increasingly likely that Zaniolo will stay at Roma, who are not expected to call him up for the rest of the games in the month and while he has trained, he will not feature against Napoli.
