Roma CEO to hold talks with Jose Mourinho over future

The talks regarding Jose Mourinho’s future at Roma are intensifying as the season ends.

According to a report from Francesco Balzani, despite the rumours surrounding a meeting between the CEO of Roma, Lina Souloukou and Jose Mourinho, there hasn’t been one till now. However, one such meeting is expected in the next few days as the capital club will need to step their approach to keeping the Portuguese manager in Rome.

Jose Mourinho has done a tremendous job at Roma since his appointment last season. In his first season with the club, he won the inaugural Conference League and this season he is predicted to clinch another European accolade after reaching the Europa League final.

Due to his achievements, the Giallorossi fans have developed a great relationship with their coach but a subtle animosity between the club management and Mourinho has been noted. Despite confusing connections between director Tiago Pinto and the coach, no one can deny Jose Mourinho’s massive work at the club.

Roma will play Sevilla in the Europa League final on May 31 and after that, the 60-year-old manager will announce his future. The probability is that he will seek newer pastures but if Roma endeavour profusely to make him stay, the probable destiny could be changed.
