Revealed: The Real Madrid fixtures Jude Bellingham is expected to miss

An insight into the likely injury return date of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has been provided this afternoon.

The name of midfielder Bellingham, of course, has returned to the forefront of the headlines in Spain’s capital across the day to date.

This comes after confirmation of the extent of the ankle injury suffered by the 20-year-old was forthcoming.

Bellingham for his part, was forced into an early departure from Real Madrid’s 4-0 La Liga drubbing of Girona on Saturday night.

After being put through a round of medical tests at Los Blancos’ training base earlier today, it was in turn announced that:

‘Following tests carried out today on Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a sprain in his left ankle. His recovery will be monitored.’

Early reports point towards the England international’s issue being likely to keep him out of action for a period of around three weeks.

According to Arancha Rodríguez of Cope, Bellingham, along with the medical staff in Madrid, have pencilled in the club’s Champions League Last-16 return leg meeting with RB Leipzig on March 6th as a realistic comeback target.

As much would mean the former Borussia Dortmund man is in line to sit out Real’s upcoming fixtures against all of Leipzig (1st leg), Rayo Vallecano, Sevilla, and Valencia.
