Report: Dortmund eyeing Ajax forward

According to Bild, BVB are very interested in Mohammed Kudus, a 22-year-old striker at Ajax.

Sebastian Kehl.

With only 11 goals scored from eight Bundesliga games thus far, BVB need some help on the attacking end. Per Bild, the club would like to sign Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus.
Kudus is clearly willing to leave the Dutch side, as he tried to force his way out of the club and join Everton on deadline day this summer. The 22-year-old is playing extremely well this season with eight goals in twelve competitive games and has a contract that expires in 2025.

A transfer in the winter is possible, but unlikely, as Dortmund will continue to search the market for offensive additions due to several reasons.

The injury bug has hit the team, Anthony Modeste hasn’t impressed to start the campaign and Sebastien Haller’s health situation is unclear. Youssoufa Moukoko also has a contract expiring in 2023 and is yet to sign an extension that has been on the table for months.
