Sixth-placed Rennes travel to the French capital to face leaders PSG at the Parc des Princes for Ligue 1 gameweek 28. Rennes have slipped out of the qualifying spots for European competition, following a run of disappointing results. The Bruno Génésio-led side fell at home against Marseille and drew away at relegation-battling Auxerre last week.
The former Lyon manager won’t be able to coutn on key attacking players such as Martin Terrier or Jérémy Doku, who are both injured. Rennes are set to field a 5-man defense, as they successfully did the last time they faced PSG, back in January, when they beat Les Parisiens at home thanks to a goal from Hamari Traoré. The Malian skipper is set to be reinstated as right-back, thus relegating Tottenham loanee Djed Spence to the bench. The second Spurs loan arrival, Welsh centre-back Joe Rodon, is also not expected to start.
Rennes likely XI v PSG
Steve Mandanda – Hamari Traoré, Warmed Omari, Christopher Wooh, Arthur Theate, Adrien Truffert – Baptiste Santamaria, Benjamin Bourigeaud, Lovro Majer – Arnaud Kalimuendo, Amine Gouiri
