Benjamin Stambouli is expected to replace Amadou Koné in midfield as Stade de Reims prepare to face Olympique de Marseille on Wednesday night. However, interim manager Samba Diawara is not expected to tinker too much with the side that drew 1-1 against UEFA Champions League-chasing Stade Brestois (1-1) on Friday night.
Diawara, in his first game in charge as interim manager following Will Still’s surprise swift exit from Les Stadistes, got a good result against Brest. With no fresh injury concerns, he is expected to keep largely the same starting XI against Marseille. Stambouli may come in for Koné in midfield, whilst Thibault De Smet could replace Sergio Akieme at left-back, according to a report from L’Équipe. The former returns from suspension having missed the draw against Brest.
