On June 1, Borussia Dortmund will go head-to-head against Real Madrid, as they look to be crowned European champions for the second time in their history.
However, while BvB will undeniably be the underdogs against Los Blancos, they have already received positive news regarding their Champions League final.
As reported via Sky Germany, Real Madrid will be without Aurélien Tchouaméni for the final at Wembley. In the pre-match press conference prior to Madrid’s final league game of the season, head coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the Frenchman will be sidelined through injury:
“He is working individually, but he will not make it to the final. He could be fit for the European Championship.”
In Real’s Champions League semi-final second leg victory against Bayern Munich, it is understood that Tchouaméni injured his left foot. This will be the second time this season that the 24-year-old has been sidelined due to an issue with his left foot.
Therefore, it is expected that Eduardo Camavinga will replace Tchouaméni in Ancelotti’s midfield as Real look to see off BvB, who have been the surprise package in Europe this season.
