Real Madrid are not expected to make a free transfer move for Mats Hummels in the coming weeks.
Los Blancos are rumoured to be considering a move to bring in a new defender in a cut price deal after missing out on Leny Yoro earlier this month.
With experience the key characteristic on the agenda Hummels was rumoured to be an option on a short term deal.

Hummels is available as a free agent following his departure from Borussia Dortmund after the expiration of his contract in Germany.
However, as per reports from Diario AS, rumours of an offer from Madrid have been refuted as he does not meet their requirements in defence.
If a suitable target does not emerge, Real Madrid are prepared to stick with the players already in their squad, with Jesus Vallejo potentially granted an increased first team role in 2024/25, following a loan spell at relegated Granada last season.
