The powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid have turned down the chance to bring Sergio Ramos back to the club.
That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The name of defender Ramos has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital across the week to date.
This comes after Éder Militão’s 2nd ACL tear in the space of a little over a year was confirmed.
With all of David Alaba, Dani Carvajal and Joan Martínez sidelined long-term, too, a legitimate injury crisis has in turn begun to develop in Carlo Ancelotti’s backline.
Ramos, available as a free agent at present, has therefore been named as a potential stop-gap solution.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the Real Madrid legend himself is very much open to a reunion.
In fact, as per a report from El Chiringuito TV:
‘Sergio Ramos has offered himself to Real Madrid.’
Unfortunately for the veteran stopper, as well as those eager to see Ramos back in the colours of Los Blancos, however, the response of Florentino Pérez and co. has been as blunt as possible – ‘No.’
