Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé has, on Tuesday been sent a clear message regarding his long-touted move to Real Madrid.
Frontman Mbappé’s Real links have of course long dominated the European football headlines, amid intense mutual interest between club and player to join forces.
The French international, however, threw a major spanner in the works in the summer of 2022 by putting pen to paper on fresh terms with PSG.
Real, in turn, were said to have pulled the plug on their Mbappé pursuit, having been left altogether red-faced by the saga’s conclusion.
And yet, mounting speculation points towards Los Blancos preparing to reignite their efforts to bring the prolific attacker in next summer, upon the conclusion of his contract.
Such a move, though, may need to be initiated by Mbappé himself.
That’s according to an inside source at the Santiago Bernabéu, who, on Tuesday, confirmed to RMC Sport that: “If Mbappé wants to come, he has to do the work.”
This stance comes with Real desperate to ‘avoid being a laughing stock’, as proved the case last year.
